Update From The Workroom – August 2020

I just wanted to give you all an update on what has been going on here at Fantastique Feather Creations. Unfortunately like a lot of small niche businesses FFC has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. As many of you would understand my mental health has suffered. I have struggled with the isolation and being cut off from family and friends. It has been overwhelming.

I came into 2020 with grand dreams. At the end of 2019 we decided that FFC had outgrown our house. My current workroom, the lounge room and the spare bedroom are all overflowing.  So we put in motion a purpose built studio. The studio will have an area for me to create fans and make pretty things, an area for  photography and a dance studio area.

With the Covid-19 putting a stop to performances and events business has slowed down quite substantially, so progress on the studio has been slow. I am truly blessed to have a hubby who is extremely talented. He has been working tirelessly building walls and sheeting them with gyprock, laying the flooring. I am looking forward to moving into the new space and bringing some projects to completion that I have been sitting on for awhile.
