Mardi Gras Showgirl Costume

When I started my business I always had intentions of adding a costume range, up until now I have been concentrating on the feather fan range. I will be introducing the new size B fans to the range in the next few weeks. These feather fans will be approximately 63 cm high and 120 cm wide. They will retail for $170.00 for a single fan and $325.00 for a pair.

I decided to have a break from making fans to try my hand at costumes, this is my first costume  –  Mardi Gras Feather Showgirl. Utilising my rainbow ostrich fans as part of this costume. The each feather fan has 56 14-16 inch ostrich feathers. Silver diamantés and rainbow ribbon give the fan a lovely decorative finish. The feather fans are approximately 54cm high and 102cm wide.

I have made a rainbow sequin bra with a matching g-string. Both the bra and g-string has silver and coloured beads embellishments. Each bead drop has been hand sewn individually. The g-string has a beautiful bow on the back with silver diamantés embellishment.

An Amazing Photography Session

I went back to Exposure Studios at the new location – 6/8 Teamster Close, Tuggerah NSW 2259, to work with the wonderful Phil Ingram. I enlisted the help of my beautiful model daughter Storm-Haylee. I had kept the costume a secret, so prior to the shoot no one had seen it. With camcorder in hand I was able to video the unveiling . We had lots of laughs and got some great shoots from our time in the studio and I look forward to the next time.
